Firehouse Theater Company’s ‘The Cake’

MONDAY, JUNE 8: Our great friends at Firehouse Theater Company have designated their Industry Night performance of “The Cake” as a benefit, with 100 percent of all proceeds donated to the Denver Actors Fund! In Bekah Brunstetter’s play, inspired by a real Colorado legal case that went all the way to the Supreme Court, Jen goes home to a small town in North Carolina marry a woman, but her late mother’s cake-making best friend refuses to provide her service. Faith, family, and frosting collide in this timely comedy directed directed by Troy Lakey. This continues Firehouse Producing Artistic Director Helen Hand’s steadfast commitment to designate one performance of every tun with 100 PERCENT of proceeds donated to the DAF.
