About Us

Mission statement: The Denver Actors Fund is a source of immediate assistance when members of the Colorado theater community find themselves in situational medical need. The Denver Actors Fund offers both financial and practical volunteer assistance.

The Denver Actors Fund is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 2013 to provide support for Colorado theatre artists facing medical and personal crises. We offer financial assistance and practical volunteer help to those navigating emergencies – from physical health and dental needs to mental health support and urgent pet medical care.

The Denver Actors Fund proudly serves the entire Colorado theatre community (not just actors, and not just those based in Denver). From stage managers and sound designers to technicians, directors, playwrights and more, our support extends to anyone who helps bring theatre to life in our state. If you’ve contributed to Colorado’s theatre community, the Denver Actors Fund is here for you.

To date, we’ve distributed more than $1.84 million to help cover medical bills, dental work, therapy sessions, insurance co-pays and veterinary costs. Our network of volunteers has contributed hundreds of hours delivering meals, running errands, picking up groceries, offering child and pet care, providing transportation and showing up with kindness when it’s needed most.

All donations to the Denver Actors Fund are fully tax-deductible and directly support this mission of care and community.
