PAWS Fund Now Offers Up to $1,000 in Veterinary Assistance

The Denver Actors Fund has been working to grow and stabilize the pool of restricted donations that make it possible for our separately managed PAWS Fund to help Colorado theater artists pay down their pet veterinary expenses. Thanks to the community’s generosity, the board of directors has authorized an increase in the annual household limit from $500 every 12 months to $1,000.
Effective immediately, every qualifying household will be eligible for up to $1,000 in reimbursed veterinary expenses for any 12-month period.
This increase is not retroactive. However, those who have received $500 in assistance from the PAWS Fund within the past 12 months, are now automatically eligible for another $500 in new veterinary expenses incurred since June 1, 2026.. Or, when the current 12-month wait period passes, you will again become eligible for $1,000. Questions? Email denveractorsfund@gmail.com.
The PAWS Fund exists as a separate fund independent of our primary (human) medical mission. Since 2023, it has paid down Colorado theater artists’ qualifying pet medical expenses by more than $81,000. The PAWS Fund will continue to exist only as long as there are available funds donated specifically for the PAWS Fund cause.
